“I’m happy with our decision to sell to the residents. . . (ROC Northwest) was personable, persistent and passionate. “–Peter Herzig, Community Owner/Seller
a couple dozen of the 10,000 home owners of ROC USA®
What is a Resident Owned Community?
A ROC is a manufactured home park that is owned by the people who live there.
How does an investor-owned community become a resident-owned community?
This happens when the manufacture home park becomes available for sale. The existing owner may have a desire to see their efforts, energy, and investment continue to grow and prosper into the indefinite future. For many, this means selling to the residents who have a personal stake in continuing the community and further investing in it.
Who can become a ROC?
We work with everyone. However, ROC Northwest’s focus and mission is to preserve low- to mid-income housing options.
Where does ROC Northwest operate?
Washington and Idaho.
Why become a ROC?
We believe upper income households are currently served well in the market. However, affordable housing has become very challenging to find and preserve in the last decade or so.
